A Good God – Beyond Fear and Misconceptions

Many people have encountered God’s image shaped more by fear than love – a stern Judge ready to punish, rather than a Father longing to save. Our first post on this blog addressed the idea of hell, not to provoke controversy, but to free hearts from paralyzing fear and return our focus to what the Bible truly reveals: God is good. God is love, as the Scripture declares in 1 John 4:16*And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.

As it is written, “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” – Romans 2:4

This goodness of God is not a vague or abstract notion. It is evident in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is shown in every act of mercy, every call to repentance, and every promise of grace. This blog exists to uncover that character of God through His Word – free from religious fear, tradition, or inherited assumptions.

"Perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
– 1 John 4:18

So if you’ve ever asked yourself: "Is God truly good?" or "Can I know Him without terror or shame?" – you're in the right place. Through Scripture, we will show you that God's plan is not rooted in control through fear, but in freedom through love.

Why We Chose to Start with the Topic of Hell

Our opening post on hell was chosen deliberately, not to provoke, but to liberate. The traditional view of hell as a place of eternal conscious torment has harmed countless hearts and obscured the character of God. But the Bible tells a deeper, truer story – and it’s one worth exploring.

Stay with us as we journey through the Scriptures to discover the truth about God – starting with His character, His promises, and His relentless grace.

"Today's post is just an introduction, a gentle relief from imposed fears – whether intentional or not – because God's Word offers LOVE like no other. Follow us, share with friends, and more importantly, read the Holy Scriptures. In them, you will find life. And never forget – God has a plan just for you."
